Uber Wifi cab booking Option

Uber is in continuation to improve riders experience in its cab. Uber has fierce competition from OLA to improve its services as OLA also implementing few new features like WiFi itself, premium rides for frequent riders etc.

OLA raised Rs 5000 crore from its investors to improve its footprint in India and improve service. OLA is putting Rs 500 crore in its cab leasing entity soon. This entity will be separate form OLA cab aggregation unit , there was similar kind of initiative form Uber as well to help its drivers to fund for car. Some drivers have tried this way for getting fund from banks etc but OLA will lease its car to drivers on some subscription and Rs 25k to 30k down payment in beginning

Airtel 4G backed Free WiFi Enabled Cities

Last month starting with Mumbai. Apart from Hyderabad, the roll out has been extended to Bengaluru, Kolkata and Delhi NCR.

OLA is trying to retain its drivers by leasing method, where Uber retains drivers by paying them cash on each trip based upon timing and location.

Recently Uber did tie up with Airtel to provide free WiFi to its riders for free in-car. Uber will get Airtel 4G connection to its driver mobile and then create a hotspot to provide internet connection.

How in-car Wifi works and How you can Use it?

1. Driver will set up a hot-spot for wifi network.
2. You book a cab form your app using uberX WiFi or uberSUV WiFi option. WiFi cab option is just to denote that which cabs have wifi enabled, there is no extra charge for booking these cabs.
3. Get into your cab, ask for network name and password.
4. Start your mobile/laptop wifi and connect to enjoy seamless internet connectivity.
