Uber now allows to add Uber button in your mobile app, be it on Android or iOS. Uber is now open for integration from all the apps, basically Uber want customers to get access to book ride from any app without leaving that app.
As per Uber
As of today, we officially open—to all developers—access to many of the primitives that power Uber’s magical experience. Apps can pass a destination address to the Uber app, display pickup times, provide fare estimates, access trip history and more.
The same feature is already available with some well known brands mobile app like Google maps, Zomato, and more fantastic companies, all of whom have already integrated with the API and are rolling out in cities around the world: Expensify, Hinge, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Momento, OpenTable, Starbucks Coffee Company, Tempo Smart Calendar, Time Out, TripAdvisor, TripCase and United Airlines.
Adding the button to your app couldn’t be easier.
- Register your App on the Uber Developer Dashboard
- Install the new Uber iOS or Android Rides SDK
- Configure and display the Ride Request Button next to every address or ‘intent to ride’ in your app.
- Optimize by specifying as much info about the Trip as you can (E.g. Pickup Location, Destination, Product etc).
Done. On tap, existing users will be deep-linked into the Uber app with their ride pre-configured so they can get moving quickly. New users will be directed to download the app from the App store.
